Beth M. Erickson

Beth Erickson is a freelance writer, editor, public speaker, and media and communications consultant. She is the editor of Coulee Region Women, a home and healthy living magazine. Coulee Region Women is a full-color, 15,000 circulation publication that serves women in the coulee Region of Wisconsin. Erickson is also managing editor for Thea News, a full-color, eight-page, bi-annual, 3,000 circulation newsletter that is distributed throughout the U.S.  Thea News shares stories about the late Sister Thea Bowman, a Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration.

Erickson received her undergraduate degree in English with a minor in communications from Viterbo University in La Crosse, wiseness. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Servant Leadership, also from Viterbo. Erickson has over 10 years of experience in communications and marketing--in manufacturing, healthcare, and higher education. Several of her newsletters, publications, and events have won state and local awards.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Franciscan Spirituality Center in La Crosse and is active in the American Cancer Society (ACS). A cancer survivor, Erickson is the 1985 recipient of the ACS Wisconsin Division Courage Award and the 1988 recipient of the ACS National Courage Award. She is in the final stages of editing a non-fiction novel she wrote, A Tuesday Afternoon Kid, about her cancer experience and its effect on herself, her parents, and her six brothers and sisters.
